Another Meeting for the Parents
On Sunday afternoon, the 24th of July, 2011, we had another meeting with the parents of the students of Holy Cross School
and those parents who want to apply for their children to enter Grade R next year. Since we have broken ground now
on the construction of the new school building, we expect to expand the school to Grade 1 next year beginning in
January. So the majority of the students who are with us now in Grade R will move on to Grade 1 and Grade R
will then have a mostly new class. The meeting included a multimedia presentation of the school children engaged in various
activities so that the parents could get a look at the wide and varied learning experiences that their children are receiving.
Much laughter and joy ensued as the children were seen during trips to Diocesan School for Girls and St. Andrew's
College, to St. Andrew's Preschool, their interaction with Travis Shields, the volunteer, and of course just good fun
and creative play. Then, the parents were given information about transportation, supplies and, of course, where to get the
famous track suits. We were delighted to see so many parents there. It shows the commitment that these parents have to the
school as well. God bless us all as we continue with faithfulness and fortitude.
