How Do You Support Yourself?
It is the question that arises in every conversation we have about our life. Do you farm, raise your own vegetables, run a school ... what? Like monks throughout the centuries, Holy Cross monks have done all these things and more. But, our principal work in South Africa is with people, especially the poor, children, retreats, people seeking time alone with God and more. We do the work God sends us, but because ministry never produces enough income to pay the bills, support the children in school and buy a stove for a neighbour trying to feed a large family, we must rely on those who believe in our life of prayer and hospitality to help us. Thus, our monastic family grows far beyond the lives of a few monks. Would you like to become part of the vision of reconciliation and peace by supporting Holy Cross? It could change your life!
