We Now Have a Labyrinth

Yes, it's true! Like every good cathedral and abbey in England, Scotland and Ireland and plenty of places elsewhere, even including South Africa, we now have a labyrinth! It is located on a hillside above our church. We feel it is in a perfect location for making a short pilgrimage up there to see it. During the monks' Long Retreat at the end of July, Br. Josias, who had been doing some study of the designing and building of labyrinths over the previous few weeks, made it part of his spiritual practice and prayer and built one. There is a long tradition of the Labyrinth that stretches back all the way to Celtic Christianity, and we are continuing the tradition in South Africa.
